Currently, all BCBSVT insurance plans cover telemental health counseling sessions.

All other BCBS/Bluecard plans must be verified first as to coverage of telemental health services.

A HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform is typically required. During the COVID-19 crisis, this requirement has been waived and as such, telephone and other platforms such as FaceTime and Skype are accepted.

Individual Counseling
$110 per 50-55 minute session
$165 per 75 minute session (see insurance section)
$220 per 100 minute session (see insurance section)

Couples Counseling
$110 per 50-55 minute session
$165 per 75 minute session (see insurance section)

Payment is expected at each session whether you are paying the full session fee or any copays, should you be using insurance. I accept cash, checks, most major credit cards and most HSA cards. PLEASE NOTE: I only accept cash and checks for copays. Typical copays are the same as “office visits” located on your insurance card.

INSURANCE
I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Blue Card Network (CBA Blue, Excellus, BCBSFed, etc) ONLY. All other insurances will fall under Out of Network.

Out of Network: If you have out of network benefits, I can provide you with the appropriate documentation to file an out-of-network reimbursement claim on your own. Your benefits would apply after any deductibles you may have are met. You will need to check with your insurance company to find out how much you will be reimbursed as it depends on your specific policy. Let me know if you have any questions about this process.

Please Note:
Insurance does not cover missed sessions.
The cancellation policy is a full 24 hour notice prior to your scheduled appointment. In the event that you no show or cancel in less than 24 hours of your appointment, you will be expected to pay for the full cost of the missed session due at the time of the next meeting.

Please Note:
Insurance does not cover extended session times. If you are interested in an extended session, you will be responsible for paying any additional time added to the standard 50-55 min session out of pocket. Typical extended sessions are 75 or 100 minutes. If you have in-network insurance, your fee would be any copay plus either $55 (75 min session) or $110 (100 min session).

TYPICAL INSURANCE POLICY DISCLOSURE
Insurance company’s require diagnostic codes that stay on your permanent records and they may request a copy of your complete confidential records including treatment plans, process notes and other information.
